Q. Do you offer ‘kits’ or prepared
plans?
A. Legacy offers only custom log homes. However due to the
overwhelming interest in our log office, we are posting two optional plans
and a price list for a structure which is similar. Although we do offer the
services of an in-house designer and draftsman, we are happy to work with
any designer the homeowner chooses and are available throughout the entire
planning process to assist in a variety of ways.
Q. What does a Legacy Log shell
cost?
A. Since our projects are completely handcrafted and extremely
labor intensive, each project is priced individually according to the amount
of labor required. Our beginning base price for log structure starts at
$40.00 per square foot. We are also offering estimates to perform a
complete home as well.
We are happy to provide a free estimate based on your blueprints or
sketches.
Q. How long does it take to
construct a log shell?
A. Depending on the size of the log structure, it takes roughly 8
– 12 weeks to assemble a log shell in our Montana yard.
On average, we handcraft 10-15 log shells per year
Q. Do you provide windows, doors,
log oil, caulking, or chinking?
A. We are representatives for Sashco products (log oil, caulk and
chink), as well as Clawson Windows, and Pine Door Company.
Q. Do you deliver nationally?
A. Yes! We can deliver your home wherever you wish.
